Inspect for fluid leaks
Change oil and oil filter (if applicable)
Inspect and change air filter and clean housing
Clean engine cooling screen
Inspect fuel system and tank, change fuel filter, remove carburetor bowl and inspect for water and dirt, inspect fuel lines for dryness and rot and replace broken fuel line clamps.Replace spark plug and inspect spark plug boot and connections
Clean under belt cover (self-propel)
Lube height adjusters and transmission
Inspect recoil rope
Check and adjust throttle and choke settings
Adjust RPMs within spec
Check blade brake cable adjustment
Remove and sharpen/replace blades as needed
Inspect Operator Presence Control
Inspect condition of guards, shields and chute
Grease machine as needed (controls, cables and linkages)Check machine over for loose or missing hardware
Final Inspection: Test run machine. Check safety features. Recheck fluids. Wash and clean
