Winter Battery Storage Guide
Store batteries indoors in a dry location within the storage-temperature range specified for your model. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for removing the battery from equipment and storing it separately from the charger.
Before seasonal storage, check the charge indicator and follow your battery manufacturer’s recommended storage charge level and recheck schedule. Do not assume every battery should be stored fully charged or completely discharged.
Do not charge a frozen battery. Let a cold battery reach the charging-temperature range specified in its battery and charger manuals before charging; do not use direct heat to warm it.
